The Actors Guild of Nigeria has announced the partial lift of suspension on popular Nollywood actress Queeneth Hilbert weeks after she was suspended from the movie industry.

It would be recalled that the Actors Guild of Nigeria suspended actress Queeneth Hilbert from movie scenes for breaching a contract between herself and Demek Movie production. In the letter sent to AGN by the lawyer of the actress Queeneth Hilbert however, explained her side of the story.

In a new development, the Actors Guild President Comr. Emeka Rolas has shared a press release saying that the suspension was lifted to enable her to attend to already-paid jobs from other production houses.

In the letter signed by Director of communications, Monalisa Chinda Coker, its reads…

“The decision of the Guild to partially withdraw the suspension was in the spirit of comradeship with the Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria, FVPMAN, who wrote to express the untold hardship and losses some of its members who had contracted the Actress before her indefinite suspension are presently experiencing.”

“In solidarity with FVPMAN over the plight of some of its members, AGN has to lift the ban partially to enable the actress to complete all her pending jobs”.

However, veteran actor Sam Dede has said that the suspension should be lifted fully lifted after the actress completes her side of the contract with Demek Movie production.
