Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has once again spoken about her stance on her widely discussed encounter with Funke Akindele, which previously sparked major conversations in the industry.
The actress, who had earlier vowed never to greet her colleague again following an incident at a movie premiere, now says she would prefer to put the issue behind her.
Speaking during an appearance on the Morayo Afolabi Brown Show, Toyin reflected on the controversy and also spoke about how public criticism has reshaped her mindset over time.
According to her, she has developed a strong tolerance for online attacks and negative comments.
She noted that very little can now affect her emotionally, adding that she has become desensitised to criticism.
“There is nothing anyone would say that will get to me anymore,” she said.
Toyin explained that whenever she responds to critics today, it is no longer out of anger but simply for amusement.
“If I respond to you, it’s because I am just having fun with you. I want to play with you,” she added.
When asked about her much-publicised disagreement with Funke Akindele, the actress declined to go into details, stressing that she prefers not to revisit past issues.
“I don’t want to talk about it because I don’t like talking about my past,” she said.
Toyin also addressed a recurring issue in her career, appealing to fans and the public to stop comparing her with other actresses.
She said she is focused on building her own identity and legacy rather than being placed in competition with others.
“I don’t like it when they pitch me with anyone. I just want to be me, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi,” she said.

@_Bigjulius_:”The absolute classic “nothing can get to me anymore” line, immediately followed by locking up and hitting the “I don’t want to talk about my past” card at the very first real question. The interviewer didn’t even have to try. “
@Vibesznnz:”But her mood changed when the interviewer mentioned aunty funke names if words does not really move her again I think she should have gave an explanation of what happened”
