- Bobrisky has criticized some attendees at Alex Ekubo’s service of songs over their choice of outfits, questioning the use of heavy makeup, revealing dresses, and high heels at a memorial event.
- His comments have since sparked debate online about appropriate dressing at funerals and remembrance gatherings.

Nigerian socialite and fashion influencer Bobrisky has sparked reactions online after criticizing the way some guests dressed to the service of songs held in honour of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo.
Taking to social media shortly after the memorial event, Bobrisky expressed displeasure with what he described as inappropriate fashion choices by some attendees.
According to the socialite, a service of songs is a solemn occasion and should not be treated like a white party or fashion show.
“Its service of song not a WHITE party. What’s with all that heavy makeup, high heels, dresses that shows curves and all.
“I don’t have a problem dressing classy and stunning but showing skin, thighs, cleavage to a burial YOU DEY CRAZE,” Bobrisky wrote.
In a further remark, the socialite suggested that some women appeared more interested in attracting attention than mourning the deceased.
“Some Nigeria girls fit hustle for mortuary if they allow them,” Bobrisky added.
The comments have since generated mixed reactions across social media, with some users agreeing that funeral and memorial events should be approached with modesty and respect, while others argued that people should be free to dress as they choose provided they remain respectful.
The service of songs for Alex Ekubo attracted family members, close friends, colleagues, and fans who gathered to celebrate the actor’s life and legacy following his passing.
