Popular cleric and founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has shared a WhatsApp message he reportedly received amid rising concerns over insecurity in parts of the country.
In a Facebook post, the clergyman revealed the content of a message sent to him concerning his school located in Nasarawa State.
According to the sender, there were claims that kidnappers, who allegedly lodged in a hotel, carried out an abduction of children in Nasarawa State.
Following the circulating rumours, some Muslim parents were said to have rushed to the school barefoot to pick up their children in panic.
As a precautionary measure, pupils were reportedly sent home, with instructions to resume on Monday if the security situation improves.
Apostle Chibuzor expressed deep sadness over the development and announced the temporary closure of OPM free schools in Northern Nigeria until the environment is considered safe for learning to continue.
His words…
“So with pains in my heart, I HRM KING APOSTLE CHIBUZOR GIFT CHINYERE is shutting down temporarily all OPM free schools in the northern part of Nigeria until the security situation improves.
I know it is painful, but the life of this children are more important”,
