Former Vice President and 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has criticized the state of education in Nigeria, claiming that more than 20 million children are currently out of school under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking on the issue, Atiku said millions of Nigerian children are not only out of school but are also living in unsafe conditions. He promised that if given the opportunity to lead, he would implement free and compulsory education across the country.
“Under Tinubu’s watch, over 20 million school children are not in school and not secure. I will implement free and compulsory education,” Atiku said.
