A Nigerian man has accused popular content creator Papaya Ex of allegedly withholding his sister’s salary while she worked as her personal assistant.

In an audio clip that has gone viral online, he claimed his sister earns ₦120,000 monthly and raised concerns over how she was treated while working with the influencer.

According to him, the dispute began after Papaya Ex reportedly lost her phone during the premiere of Toyin Abraham’s movie. He alleged that his sister was made to bear the cost of replacing the stolen device, which led to tension between both parties.

He further claimed that matters escalated when Papaya Ex allegedly seized his own phone. In his account, he said he was pleading with her mother for its release when he was hit with a spade during the confrontation.

“For 3 days, knowing fully well that I’m a videographer, she has not given me the phone. What then am I going to do?” he lamented.

As of the time of filing this report, Papaya Ex and her management team have not issued any official response to the allegations.

It would be recalled that Papaya Ex previously reported the loss of her iPhone 16 Pro Max during the star-studded premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s movie, The Return of Arinzo. Following the incident, she took to Instagram to appeal for help and offered a ₦700,000 reward for anyone who could recover the device.
