Nigerian singer Seyi Vibez has sparked widespread reactions online after taking a swipe at fellow artist Adekunle Gold, criticising both his music and fashion sense.
GistLover reports that the controversy began on Friday when Seyi Vibez made a harsh post on his X account, where he described Adekunle Gold in derogatory terms over his artistry and style.
In the post, he wrote: “Adekunle Gold, you’re wack, and your swag is wack. Old fool.”
Although Seyi Vibez did not give a clear reason for the outburst, many music fans believe it may be linked to a line in Adekunle Gold’s recent track Life Of The Faaji.
In the song, Adekunle Gold referenced his “Fuji” sound and included a lyric that listeners interpreted as a subtle jab at Seyi Vibez’s popular song Fuji Moto.
“They love my Fuji/this one no be Fuji Moto,” he sang.
As of the time of this report, Adekunle Gold has yet to publicly respond to the comments made by Seyi Vibez.
