Nigerian music powerhouse, Mavin Records, has celebrated its 14th anniversary, sparking excitement online after teasers hinted at a possible new Afrobeats girl group.

Founder and music executive Don Jazzy took to social media to appreciate fans, artists, and supporters who have contributed to the label’s success over the years.

“14 years later and we are still building for our future. I am Grateful to everyone who has supported the vision, the artists, the music, and the culture. So much more to come. #MAVIN14 #IDJA 🐘,” Don Jazzy wrote.

The anniversary post quickly generated reactions from fans and industry followers, many of whom praised the label for its impact on the Nigerian music industry and talent development.

Some social media users also speculated that the teasers shared by the label could signal the launch of a new Afrobeats girl group or pop band.

Reacting to the celebration, @ChibuzorOh53989 wrote, “What Mavin represents is proof that consistency and structure eventually outgrow talent alone.”

Another user, @olamilekanbabs, praised Don Jazzy for shaping the Nigerian music scene.

Since its launch in 2012 after the split of Mo’Hits Records, Mavin Records has become one of Africa’s biggest music labels, producing stars such as Rema, Ayra Starr, Johnny Drille, Crayon, and several others.
