Nigerian skitmaker Carter Efe has sparked fresh controversy online after publicly challenging Afrobeats superstar Wizkid to a celebrity boxing match.
The bold statement came shortly after his recent victory over singer Portable in a celebrity bout that earned him a large cash prize and other rewards.
The development gained more attention due to KCee’s reaction when the challenge was mentioned during the celebration.
Carter Efe had defeated Portable on May 1 in a much-publicized fight, after which businessman E-Money reportedly promised him ₦50 million.
Following the defeat, Portable expressed frustration, alleging that the organisers were unfair and claiming he was denied a rightful win.
Days later, Carter Efe received the promised reward at E-Money’s residence, where KCee and Soso Soberekon were also present.
While celebrating his win, Carter Efe shifted focus and declared that his next target should be Wizkid, even suggesting that Wizkid’s son, Boluwatife (also known as Champz), should be present at the fight.
“The person wey I wan fight now na Wizkid. Make he come collect the championship if he sure. Make Boluwatife and all of them come.”
KCee, who was present during the exchange, quickly stepped away from the camera, a move that sparked reactions online as viewers noticed his attempt to avoid the topic.
“I don comot for this shot. I wan go drink water.”
When Carter Efe further asked about the possibility of setting up a fight between Wizkid and Olamide, KCee responded cautiously, noting the singer’s status in the industry.
“I no know. no be me dey set am. Wizkid na senior man na.”
His reaction has since generated buzz on social media, with many users commenting on how carefully he distanced himself from the conversation.
