Mayowa Lambe, formerly married to media personality Roby Ekpo, has shared a new video featuring her current husband.
This comes shortly after reports circulated that she remarried in the United States, catching many by surprise. Until then, she had still been publicly associated with Roby, with no official announcement confirming their separation before news of her new marriage emerged.
Mayowa and Roby tied the knot in November 2015 and kept their relationship largely private over the years.
Despite the reactions online, Mayowa appeared unbothered as she posted a clip of herself and her new partner riding in a car. In the video, she is seen dressed in blue traditional attire before turning the camera toward her husband, who was driving. Both appeared calm and in good spirits.
Meanwhile, in a recent appearance on the The Honest Bunch Podcast, Roby opened up about issues he claimed contributed to the breakdown of their marriage.
He alleged that Mayowa moved to the United States around seven years ago and eventually left him behind in Nigeria. He also cited differences in their expectations around intimacy, explaining that he preferred a more moderate approach, while she reportedly wanted it more frequently.
Roby further claimed that Mayowa used contraceptives without his knowledge during the marriage, which he believes affected their ability to have children. He noted that he even underwent medical checks at one point, initially thinking he might be responsible for their childlessness.
Reflecting on the situation, he expressed shock at discovering photos and videos online showing his wife getting married to another man after over a decade together.
