A video that has recently gone viral captures a tense moment between popular content creator Peller and his partner, Jarvis, during a live-stream while they were en route to a major film premiere.
The footage, which quickly circulated on X (formerly Twitter), shows Peller seated between Jarvis and his mother on the way to the premiere of The Return of Arinzo, a new Nollywood film produced by Iyabo Ojo.
The star-studded event took place on March 29, 2026, at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, ahead of the movie’s nationwide release on April 3. Celebrities in attendance included Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Biola Adebayo, Omowunmi Dada, Hilda Baci, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Eniola Badmus, Kiekie, Segun Johnson, Toke Makinwa, Priscilla Ojo with her husband Juma Jux, among others.
Additional high-profile guests such as Funke Akindele, Fathia Williams, Mercy Aigbe, Mo Abudu, Pretty Mike, AY Makun, Odunlade Adekola, Rita Dominic, and Florence Ita-Giwa were also present, making it a highly anticipated red carpet affair.
Despite the glitz, the spotlight online quickly turned to a clip showing Jarvis visibly upset with Peller, accusing him of giving more attention to his mother during the live broadcast. The tension seemed heightened by a language gap: Peller speaks both English and Yoruba fluently, Jarvis is not fluent in Yoruba, and Peller’s mother reportedly does not understand English. As a result, Peller was left translating between the two during the discussion.
In the video, Jarvis asked Peller to consider how he would feel if their positions were reversed, implying he would not accept being overlooked in favor of a parent. Peller, who recently had a notable incident at Alake’s palace, relayed Jarvis’ comments to his mother. She, however, appeared unfazed, advising Peller to disregard the concerns.
