Popular Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has expressed strong admiration for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2026 APC National Convention.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) held its 8th National Convention on Friday at Eagle Square, Abuja, drawing more than 8,000 delegates from across Nigeria. The two-day gathering, running from March 27 to 28, focuses on electing a new National Working Committee (NWC) and advancing the party’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on stage, Seyi Law voiced his unwavering support for President Tinubu, describing him as a leader he is ready to fully back. The comedian praised the president for stabilizing the nation’s economy, noting that Nigeria faced severe financial challenges when the administration assumed office, with net foreign reserves reportedly around $1 billion. He highlighted that the reserves have since risen to approximately $40 billion.

Seyi Law also commended President Tinubu for removing the fuel subsidy, calling it a courageous decision that has helped fight corruption. Additionally, he recognized progress in the education sector, pointing out that the current government has achieved one of the shortest ASUU strike durations in recent memory.

He wrapped up his address by encouraging attendees to applaud the president, a suggestion met with enthusiastic cheers from the convention audience.
