Film producer Chantel Chanel has announced her resolve to recover money she claims is owed to her by self-proclaimed relationship coach Blessing Okoro.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, March 27, 2026, Blessing CEO disclosed that she is battling cancer and revealed that the high cost of her medical treatment has led her to consider selling some of her properties to cover expenses.
However, Chantel Chanel, speaking in a video that has gone viral online, stated that she had paid N200,000 to Blessing CEO through one of her sisters for promotional services to advertise her movie. According to Chanel, the payment was never refunded, and the services promised were not properly provided.
Chanel also questioned the severity of Blessing’s illness, claiming that Blessing had been managing her own hair care, which she suggested was inconsistent with the expected physical effects of stage four cancer treatment.
Insisting on full repayment, Chanel said she would pursue the debt regardless of circumstances, even suggesting that she would continue her efforts if Blessing were no longer alive. She also noted that it was often hard to discern when Blessing was being truthful, citing a video in which Blessing announced she was selling her belongings.
Public reactions to Chanel’s comments have been divided. Some people praised her for standing her ground, while others criticized her for appearing insensitive to Blessing CEO’s purported health struggles. Some observers even questioned the authenticity of Blessing’s cancer claims, noting that stage four cancer patients usually display visible symptoms such as hair loss from chemotherapy, significant weight loss, and pale skin.
Earlier, critic Saida BoJ had also expressed doubts about the accuracy of Blessing CEO’s statements regarding her health.
