“I Think He Is Pushing For A One-Party System”- VeryDarkMan On Tinubu’s Agenda

  • VeryDarkMan, a social commentator, has raised concerns about Nigeria’s political situation.
  • He specifically critiques President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
  • His observations indicate that the APC’s current strategies may aim for goals beyond the 2027 elections.

Social commentator VeryDarkMan has sparked a debate on Nigeria’s political landscape with his recent observations about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to him, the party’s current strategies suggest ambitions beyond the immediate 2027 elections.

“I think there’s a bigger game plan with Tinubu and APC. With the way they’re moving – sharing rice, The City Boy Movement, owning 31 out of 35 states’ governors in Nigeria. I don’t think President Tinubu is preparing for 2027. I think he’s preparing for 2032; I think he wants to go for a third term. He’s pushing for a one-party system. What they’re doing now doesn’t look like a plan for 2027,” VeryDarkMan said.

He points to the party’s dominance in state governorships and grassroots programs as evidence of a broader agenda. Observers are now questioning whether these moves signal a shift toward a one-party system and what it means for Nigeria’s democratic future.

With 2027 on the horizon, VeryDarkMan’s comments have ignited conversations about power, politics, and the potential shape of governance in Nigeria over the next decade.

In other news… A viral video circulating online shows a tense confrontation between a civilian and an official of the Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) in Abuja.

The 30-second clip captures the man grabbing the officer’s vest during a heated exchange near a silver sedan with a “GTA” plate.

The situation escalated when the man was seen brandishing what appeared to be a firearm. However, no shots were fired, and it remains unclear whether the weapon was real or loaded.

The incident comes amid ongoing debates over the powers of VIO officials in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). In 2025, a Federal High Court ruling later upheld by the Court of Appeal barred VIO officers from stopping or fining motorists on FCT roads, restricting their operations to designated offices within Abuja.
