Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reignited the ongoing debate over whether footballers earn more than musicians after sharing his thoughts during a live session with streamer Carter Efe.
In a clip from the live interaction that quickly went viral, Carter Efe asked Osimhen to weigh in on the topic. The Nigerian international hinted that football can be more financially rewarding than a music career, though he stopped short of making a definitive statement.
“I usually avoid these kinds of talks, but footballers do make money, I won’t lie. Just look at what I’ve achieved by 27,” Osimhen remarked.
In a separate video, Carter Efe commented on Osimhen’s earnings, referencing their previous interactions. “Based on what you’ve done for me, the Casa Migos, and everything else, I’m convinced you might even be wealthier than Wizkid, Davido, or Burna Boy,” he said.
Osimhen, however, continued to steer clear of direct comparisons.
The football star, who recently gifted his sister a Tesla Cybertruck, also spoke about his family, emphasizing the close relationship he shares with his siblings.
“My parents are the ones I miss the most in this world… my siblings are the parents in this world, and I’m glad I’ve put all my six siblings on,” he said.
