Nigerian music producer and singer Samklef has spoken out after singer Crayon publicly called out his former label boss Don Jazzy and the record label Mavin Records.

Crayon, who signed with Mavin Records in 2019, recently took to social media with a series of posts many of which were later deleted where he leveled serious accusations against the music executive. In the posts, the singer claimed Don Jazzy was connected to circumstances surrounding his mother’s death.

He also alleged that the label boss owed him unpaid royalties, claiming that significant earnings had been generated from his work but he had not received his rightful share.

Crayon further suggested that delays in payments were being used to his disadvantage and warned that he might reveal more details about his experience with the label.

Responding to the controversy, Samklef shared his thoughts online, hinting that things may have changed for Don Jazzy following his recent association with social media activist VeryDarkMan.

Samklef questioned whether the situation could be a case of karma and went on to comment about the current state of the label and its artists. He also criticized the appearance of Ayra Starr in a recent music video, sparking further debate among fans online.
