A political commentator, Mallam Shuaibu, has criticized Daniel Bwala following his recent interview with journalist Mehdi Hasan on Al Jazeera.
In a strongly worded reaction, Shuaibu accused Bwala of denying statements he had previously made against Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Imagine denying and lying about everything you once said against Tinubu on international TV. You were disgraceful. Honestly, you ought to be sacked,” Shuaibu said.
He further described the interview as embarrassing for the government.
“This interview should be an insult to Tinubu’s government. Why should someone as dishonest as this hold any government position in Nigeria?” he added.
The criticism followed Bwala’s appearance on Al Jazeera, where he discussed issues related to Nigeria’s politics and governance during the interview with Hasan.
