Despite her commitment, Carey revealed that maintaining the union was more challenging than expected. She attended ten sessions of couples-style therapy alone in an effort to navigate the emotional demands of her decision.
Reflecting on the experience, she said the pressure to be perfect for herself left her mentally and emotionally exhausted. However, she described the journey as enriching and a period of deep self-reflection and personal growth.
Carey added that she is now ready to move forward and open her heart to new possibilities, including the chance of finding a partner.
In other news…Nollywood comedian and content creator Okemesi has reportedly fallen into a coma following complications from medication he received at a hospital.
Fellow actor Jeff Owolewa, popularly known as Tony Montana, shared the update on Instagram on Monday evening.
This news comes just two days after Okemesi moved into a new apartment provided for him by the public.
Okemesi, whose real name is Bamidele Tope Saint, had appealed for financial help a few weeks ago after illness left him without a home.
In a recent update, Jeff Owolewa revealed that Okemesi had to be hospitalized again due to adverse effects from the drugs administered by the hospital that treated him previously.
Jeff explained that Okemesi faced rejection from several hospitals before being readmitted to the first facility that had discharged him last week. He is currently in a coma.
Calling on Nigerians to keep Okemesi in their prayers, Jeff also appealed for financial support to cover his ongoing medical care.
Jeff said “Guys, Okemesi has been hospitalised again. He was sleeping all through Saturday and Sunday without having much appetite for food due to complications from the drugs that were given to him from the hospital when he was discharged last week.
“I rushed to his house very early on Monday to take him to hospital. He was rejected in different hospitals including a government hospital in Igodo, the doctor refused to attend to him saying there’s no bed space. I have to take him back to the first private hospital that started his treatment. So they admitted him, and stabilised him.
“His breathing is improving. So, he has been in coma since Monday morning. They have placed him on oxygen. We’re all praying that he gets back on track.”
