Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has shared her thoughts on what she believes is the main reason behind divorce.

The actress argued that men are largely responsible for the breakdown of marriages, claiming that they contribute to 95% of marital failures.

According to Uche, many marriages collapse because men often neglect, emotionally hurt, betray, or cheat on their partners.

Sharing her views on Instagram, she wrote: “Men contribute 95 per cent in failed marriages. Many marriages fail because a significant number of men neglect, cheat, devalue, emotionally harm, emotionally stress, or betray their wives.”

She further noted that the lack of accountability in both relationships and society at large helps perpetuate this problem.

Uche Ogbodo is now in her second marriage. She tied the knot with Boby Maris in October 2023, after her first marriage to Norway-based football agent Ato Ubby ended in 2013, less than a year after it began.
