- A man claiming to resemble Davido has gone viral after alleging that a young girl believes he is her father, sparking widespread disbelief and reactions online.

A Nigerain man who claims to be a lookalike of Afrobeats star Davido has stirred reactions online after alleging that a young girl believes he is her father.
In a video shared on social media, the man said the incident began during a night out at a club in Owerri. He explained that the girl, identified only as Anu, mistook him for Davido due to his resemblance to the singer.
According to him, he tried to correct the misunderstanding but said the girl remained convinced and followed him to his hotel.
“Right from time, I’ve been Davido’s die-hard fan from Owerri,” he said. “I told her I’m not Davido, but she was so excited and followed me.”
The man later claimed that the situation escalated to the point where the girl now believes he is her father. In a dramatic appeal, he said, “Anu is my daughter, no be play. Davido, please forgive me,” insisting he never intended to deceive anyone.
The video has since gone viral, triggering mixed reactions online. While some users expressed disbelief and concern, others responded with humour and criticism, questioning the credibility of the claim.
In other news…. Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has shared her thoughts on the importance of protecting one’s peace and valuing oneself.
In a recent Instagram post, Okorie advised her followers not to let the actions of others disturb their inner calm, highlighting that individuals have the power to choose how they react to different situations.
She also emphasized the need to surround oneself with people who bring positivity rather than stress. Okorie encouraged her fans to invest in themselves and practice self-love, noting that self-worth comes from how much one values themselves.
Addressing her audience directly, she wrote: “This is for someone out there. Don’t let the behaviour of others ruin your peace. You may not have control over everything that happens to you, but you can choose your response and refuse to be diminished by it. Your peace matters more than exhausting yourself trying to understand why things happen the way they do. Let it go.”
“The people in your life should be a source of reducing stress, not causing more of it. You are more valuable than you realize. Whatever you obtained by begging would also be maintained by begging!
“The price tag you put on yourself decides your worth. Underestimating yourself will cost you dearly. Don’t beg or crave for friendships, rather invest in yourself and personality, and the right set of people would come to you. Grace attracts the right people to you and brings you before the right people”.
