Veteran Nigerian singer Sky B has opened up about the intense pressure faced by young artistes in the music industry, sharing startling details about the lengths many were willing to consider in pursuit of fame and success.

His revelation comes amid renewed conversations about the mental and emotional toll of stardom, following reports surrounding the death of young Fuji singer Destiny Boy and growing concerns about the pressures confronting upcoming artistes.

According to Sky B, his strong desire to achieve success similar to that of Mo’Hits Records boss Don Jazzy once pushed him toward desperate thinking. He disclosed that in 2007, he asked a close friend to help him obtain the contact of the Illuminati, believing it was one of the perceived pathways to rapid success in the music industry at the time.

“I sent my guy to get me the contact of the Illuminati in 2007 because I wanted to be like Mo’Hits and Don Jazzy,” Sky B said.

Sky B noted that his life ultimately took a different turn, leading him to reflect deeply on fame, personal choices, and the heavy price often attached to success.
