A video showing the remains of late Nigerian Afrofuji singer Afeez Adeshina, popularly known as Destiny Boy, has surfaced online, triggering shock and emotional reactions from fans.

The footage captures the 22-year-old singer lying motionless after being brought down from a white bus in Ayetoro, with wool placed in his nostrils as onlookers gathered around. Many fans expressed disbelief, while others condemned the filming and circulation of such a sensitive moment.

The video quickly went viral, intensifying grief and reigniting speculation surrounding the circumstances of his death. Rumours ranging from sudden collapse to possible poisoning and ritual involvement have circulated online, though none has been officially confirmed.

In other news…. Reality TV star Josephine Ijioma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has dismissed claims that she is yet to receive the ₦100 million grand prize for winning the 2022 Big Brother Naija reality show.

Phyna had earlier, in 2023, publicly called out the show’s organisers, alleging that she had not received all the prizes attached to her victory. After several responses from both her team and the BBNaija organisers, the issue faded from public discussion, leading many fans to believe it had been resolved.

However, the controversy resurfaced recently after a video circulated online in which Phyna was alleged to have said she had not received her prize money.

Addressing the viral clip during a recent Twitch livestream, Phyna clarified that the video was maliciously edited to misrepresent her statements.

“They keep cutting my video. I never said I have not received my 100 million naira. I was only talking to people who asked me if the 100 million naira has finished,” she said.

She disclosed that the edited video nearly sparked a legal confrontation between her and the show’s organisers, who were reportedly unhappy with the claims attributed to her.

According to Phyna, she had to explain to the organisers that the clip was taken out of context and urged them to review the full livestream on Twitch to confirm her actual comments.

The reality star also warned bloggers against manipulating her videos, threatening legal action against anyone whose actions could land her in trouble.
