Popular Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, professionally known as Ruger, has reacted to the sudden death of Afrofuji artiste Destiny Boy, whose passing at the age of 22 has stunned fans and colleagues nationwide.

Destiny Boy reportedly died on Sunday, January 18, 2025, in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He is survived by his wife and a child he welcomed in November 2024.

The news of his death began trending after a disturbing video surfaced online showing the singer lying motionless in the backseat of a car, with wool inserted in his nostrils, as he was allegedly being taken to a mortuary. The video quickly went viral, triggering widespread confusion and speculation over the circumstances surrounding his death.

As of the time of this report, the cause of death has not been officially disclosed. Several unverified claims have circulated on social media, with some alleging that he died at the residence of a herbalist, while others claimed he fell ill earlier that day. “Bruh people will just post that someone has died and everyone will move on. W.tf caused his death, who was he with, what was the boy eating or drinking. No autopsy, NOTHING!!!! We just have to accept that he’s dead. My God RIP destiny boy💔
