Actress and real estate entrepreneur Folake Flakkyfaj has responded to a video posted by comedian Damilola Adekoya, also known as Princess, in which she spoke about her wish to get married.

In the video, Princess called out pastors, including Pastor Jerry Eze and Pastor Bolaji Idowu, expressing frustration over her single status. She revealed that she had previously commented on the clerics’ posts about her situation, but people often laughed at her. This time, she took a bolder approach by asking them to share contacts of eligible men in their congregations.

Flakkyfaj reacted on her Facebook page, teasing Princess and suggesting she look for a husband in Arab countries, claiming that Nigerian men are intimidated by her.

To clarify her point, Folake referenced the Baba Ijesha case and shared a Yoruba proverb. The saying implies that someone who accomplishes an extraordinary feat may be praised initially, but that admiration can quickly turn into fear. She compared it to a man who kills an elephant with just a cap he may be celebrated briefly, but people soon realize that if he can do that, he could also cause harm to humans, making them fearful rather than admiring him.

The post sparked mixed reactions among fans of both Princess and Flakkyfaj. Some reminded others that Baba Ijesha was legally found guilty, emphasizing that Princess did not invent the case and that evidence in court confirmed his guilt. Others sided with Flakkyfaj, arguing that Princess’s actions were inappropriate.
