Panic has gripped the Zuru Emirate in Kebbi State following a late-night attack by armed bandits on the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, in the Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area.
The assault resulted in the death of the Vice Principal, Malam Hassan Yakubu Makuku, who was reportedly killed while attempting to shield students from the attackers. The exact number of students abducted remains unconfirmed, as official details from authorities are still pending.
A resident, Murjanatu Hassan Gishiri, confirmed the incident, highlighting the community’s distress:
