- Morris Monye has resigned as the Director of Mobilisation for the Obidient Movement, citing the position as “untenable” due to the movement’s poor coordination and disappointing results in the recent Anambra election.
- Monye disclosed that he personally funded all mobilization efforts nationwide without any financial assistance or communication from the leadership, claiming that “Mr Peter Obi has never asked what we are doing in mobilisation no communication, nothing.”

Morris Monye has resigned as the Director of Mobilisation for the Obidient Movement, announcing his decision on his X handle on Thursday.
Monye cited the movement’s poor coordination and its underwhelming performance in the recent Anambra election as reasons that made his role “untenable.”
He stated:
“Almost a year down the line, most of our short, medium, and long-term plans have not been met. I won’t be part of optics and no work. The poor showing at the Anambra election has also made my position untenable.”
Monye further disclosed that he personally funded nationwide mobilisation efforts, including logistics and voter awareness, without any financial support from the movement’s leadership or presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
He claimed a complete lack of support and communication:
“No money was given to the Directorate of Mobilisation. There’s no bank account even for the directorate. In fact, Mr Peter Obi has never asked what we are doing in mobilisation — no communication, nothing,” he stated.
