Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Yomi Fabiyi, has joined other celebrities in celebrating Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi.
However, his recent revelation about his personal connection with the reality star has generated mixed reactions online.
The actor took to his Instagram page to share his excitement following Imisi’s remarkable victory on Sunday, October 5, when she won the ₦120 million grand prize. She triumphed over fellow finalists Dede, Koyin, Sultana, Kola, Jason Jae, Mensan, Kaybobi, and Isabella.
In his post, Fabiyi uploaded a throwback video from his birthday and housewarming celebration, disclosing that Imisi had attended the event and celebrated with him.
He described her as a “joyful spirit” who genuinely rejoices with others, adding that her positive attitude motivated him to return the same love and support now that she’s in the limelight.
He wrote:
“She is always happy for others. She was happy for me during my birthday and housewarming, that informs why I have to reciprocate, aside from her being one of mine in Rocklaf Studio Film Academy.”
The actor also praised Imisi for making his Rocklaf Studio Film Academy proud, noting that her success proves that humility and consistency truly pay off in the entertainment industry.
In a separate post, Fabiyi expressed heartfelt gratitude to fans, colleagues, and everyone who supported Imisi throughout the show. The proud filmmaker said her win filled him with “overwhelming joy.”
He added:
