Whoopi Goldberg Slammed for Suggesting Trump’s Removal After UN Speech

  • Whoopi Goldberg faced backlash after criticizing Donald Trump’s UN speech as “not presidential” and suggesting the 25th Amendment be invoked.
  • While she argued she would have said the same about Biden, critics on X accused her of bias and misunderstanding the amendment.

Whoopi Goldberg has sparked criticism after calling for the removal of former US President Donald Trump following his controversial speech at the United Nations General Assembly.

Speaking on The View on Wednesday, the veteran actress and TV host argued that Trump’s remarks were “not presidential” and “not helpful,” claiming many world leaders no longer take him seriously.

According to the New York Post, Goldberg went further by suggesting the 25th Amendment — the constitutional clause allowing for a president to be ousted if deemed unfit to serve.

“Well, they questioned Biden’s competence. If Biden had acted like this, I would have said, ‘Yeah, take him,’” Goldberg stated. “This was not presidential and this was not helpful.”

Her comments drew swift backlash online. One critic on X wrote: “She was curiously silent during the dementia years of 2021–2025.”

Another added: “Why do we care what she has to say? Clearly she doesn’t understand what the 25th Amendment is. It’s not about disagreeing with the other party.”

In other news…… A young Nigerian woman has stirred conversations on social media after recounting how her close friend, who once identified strongly as a feminist, abandoned her long-held principles about marriage and independence.

From Strong Feminist to Housewife

Sharing the story on X (formerly Twitter), user @itzchristunique revealed that her friend was financially stable, invested in multiple businesses, and often declared that she didn’t need a man to succeed in life.

According to Christy, the friend repeatedly vowed never to marry unless her partner agreed to her strict conditions on gender equality and commitment. Their differing views on relationships even strained their friendship, with Christy insisting no man would ever accept such terms.

However, the unexpected happened. In February, Christy received a wedding invitation from the same friend. When asked if her husband accepted her earlier terms, the friend reportedly laughed it off, saying she was relocating from Abuja to Port Harcourt to join her man.

Christy added that the friend is currently pregnant, joking that she is about to become an aunty.

Mixed Reactions Trail the Story

The post quickly went viral, attracting diverse opinions from Nigerians online;

@Saodami1: “Everyone needs their own person. She probably hadn’t met the right man when she was making those claims.”

@Iamkolotayo: “Na heartbreak dey push many of them to talk wetin dem no fit do. God wey create both male and female no dey play.”

@ProductivityVA: “Life has a funny way of humbling all our strong beliefs. Love will always test every theory we hold. Congratulations to her and to you, aunty in the making.”

@RealSirPee: “Truth be told, she has fallen in love. She may be submissive now, but that bossy side will surface from time to time. I’ve experienced it before.”

@iamqueenese: “Moral of the story: never trust feminists. They will mislead others but still go on to submit to a man.”
