Former Oyo Governor Rashidi Ladoja Crowned 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland

Oba Rashidi Ladoja, former Governor of Oyo State, has been installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The coronation took place at the Ose Meji Temple in Ibadan South-East Local Government Area, after Ladoja first received the traditional Akoko leaf at the Labosinde Compound, Oja’ba.

He will be formally presented with the staff and instrument of office by Governor Seyi Makinde at Mapo Hall, a ceremony the governor cut short his annual leave to personally attend.

Ladoja succeeds the late Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the 43rd Olubadan, who passed on July 7, 2025.

Rodiyah Omotoyosi Mikhail was officially called to the bar on Wednesday, September 24.

A friend shared images of Rodiyah on X, showing her dressed in a blend of traditional lawyer attire and Muslim clothing. Her face was fully covered by a niqab, leaving only her eyes visible.

The photos quickly generated discussion online, with some questioning whether such attire is allowed in legal settings.
