Nigerian rap icon Olamide has spoken candidly about his relationship with fellow Afrobeats heavyweights Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

During a chat with Adesope Live, the YBNL boss described the trio as good friends but admitted they can be “a bit troublesome.” He explained that while they are “cool guys,” they don’t always share the same perspective on certain matters, and that’s perfectly okay.

“Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are all my guys,” Olamide said. “They’re just a little too playful sometimes. We don’t necessarily agree on everything, and that’s fine.”

Addressing the recurring debate around Afrobeats’ so-called “Big Three,” which usually refers to Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, Olamide added that he has no concerns about being left out of the ranking. His priority, he emphasized, remains creating music rather than chasing titles.
