Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Uriel Oputa, has mourned the death of her uncle, veteran actor Chief Fabian Adibe, who passed away at the age of 82 in the early hours of Wednesday, August 20.
In a post on her Instagram story, Uriel described his death as deeply personal, noting that out of respect she would not say much.
However, she hinted at neglect, stating that “nobody checked on him” and added that she is waiting for the “fake love” to begin.
“I’m just waiting for the fake love to start. I can’t say much out of respect, but you see this one here. It’s very personal to me, and I will say this: Nobody checked on my uncle.
To my bestie Chi and her sister NK, God bless you both for what you did for Popsi.
Rest on, sir”.
Meanwhile GISTLOVER REPORTED yesterday that Tragedy has struck Nollywood as veteran actor Fabian Adibe has reportedly passed away.
The news was first shared by entertainment blogger Cutie Juls on Instagram, who wrote:
“Veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Fabian passed away this morning at the age of 82. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
According to Cutie Juls, Adibe died in the early hours of August 20, 2025. Details surrounding his death were not disclosed.
In a related update, celebrity journalist Seun Oloketiyi also confirmed the actor’s passing on Facebook, stating:
“Things Fall Apart Actor Fabian Adibe is Dead. 2:30am this morning. Details later.”
