Former APC Deputy National Chairman (North) aspirant, Sunny Moniedafe, has admitted that President Bola Tinubu is not performing well, warning that the country is “heading for the rocks.”

He made the remark on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily while reacting to calls by former ANPP members for the vice-presidential seat to remain in their bloc ahead of the 2027 elections

“I don’t blame them. They have a point. Everyone wants to protect their interests. I think we are heading for the rocks. And I’m sorry to say this, President Tinubu is not doing well,” he said.

Moniedafe criticized the lingering influence of APC’s founding blocs—ANPP, CPC, and ACN—saying stakeholders should be defending the administration’s policies but many remain silent or uninformed.

He faulted Tinubu for not convening a forum of elders, questioned his early push for a second term, and slammed policies like fuel subsidy removal as well as the language used in selecting Vice President Kashim Shettima.
