Controversial Nigerian artist Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has once again sparked outrage on social media following his recent remarks directed at women and relationships.
The outspoken entertainer took to his Instagram page on Thursday, where he issued what he described as “advice” to men, urging them to avoid relationships with older women. According to Speed Darlington, he believes many older women have allegedly been involved with married men.
In a post that has since gone viral, the Baby Oil crooner went further to express his preference for marrying a teenage girl, even stating he would consider relocating from Nigeria to achieve that.
“Say no to old girls. The older they get, the more likely a married person has eaten her. Even if I have to relocate outside Nigeria, I will. Teenage wife is what I want,” he wrote.
Speed Darlington, known for his controversial takes, made it clear he was unbothered by public backlash. In the same post, he dismissed critics with harsh words, saying:
“You can drink bleach and pass away if my way irritates you.”
His comments have since drawn widespread condemnation across social media platforms, with many users calling them offensive, inappropriate, and dangerous particularly his reference to teenage girls in a romantic context.
