- Do2dtun, a popular media personality, has criticized the Bauchi State Hisbah Commission for banning DJs and entertainment at weddings and social gatherings.
- The commission issued 16 new guidelines aimed at restoring moral and spiritual values in marriages, leading to an outburst.

Popular media personality and hype man, Do2dtun (Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode), has strongly criticized the Bauchi State Hisbah Commission following its controversial decision to ban DJs and entertainment at weddings and other social events in the state.
The outspoken entertainer expressed his anger shortly after Hisbah unveiled 16 new regulations aimed at “restoring moral and spiritual values” in marriages a move the commission claims will help address the rising rate of divorce.
In a heated rant shared on social media, the 41-year-old did not hold back:
“If you are the one that came up with the law to ban DJs and event planners in a state, then you are very, very useless. What a complete level of ignorance tied to hopelessness and joblessness. What is the effect of such law? Some people are so backward in this Nigeria.”
The Bauchi State Hisbah Commission, operating under Sharia law, argues that lavish entertainment, loud music, and flamboyant parties are eroding the spiritual sanctity of marriage ceremonies, thereby contributing to failed unions.
Under the new rules, practices such as DJs, gala events, kawayawade, aloba, and any form of entertainment deemed “morally inappropriate” are now prohibited. These laws are said to be supported by sections 95, 362, and 373 of the Bauchi State Sharia Penal Code and will be enforced at public venues like event centres, clubs, and recreational spots.
Do2dtun’s reaction has sparked widespread debate online, with many Nigerians echoing his sentiments, while others support Hisbah’s efforts to promote what they consider traditional values.
