Primeboy Speaks on Mohbad’s Death, Denies Involvement

Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy and a close friend of late singer Mohbad, has come forward to share his side of the story following the singer’s untimely death.

In an emotional interview with activist VeryDarkMan, Primeboy addressed public suspicion surrounding his alleged involvement in Mohbad’s passing, firmly denying any wrongdoing.

According to him, during their last outing together, Mohbad was in a rush to leave the venue after his performance. While still in the car, he insisted on stepping out to meet some area boys who had gathered outside. Primeboy said he advised him against it and even asked Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, to step in.

“I never touched or hit Mohbad. There was no fight, no injury, and no glass cut like people are claiming,” Primeboy stated.

He went on to reveal that Mohbad became upset with him for getting involved in a personal issue between him and his wife and asked him to leave the car. Primeboy said he apologized for interfering and walked away.

“I told him I was sorry for poking my nose into his family matter, but he insisted I should get down,” he recounted.

Days later, Primeboy said he was shocked to wake up to the news of Mohbad’s death. “On Tuesday, I was sleeping when a friend woke me up and said Mohbad was dead. I was confused. I called his dad immediately, and he said he was on his way to the house.“

Primeboy also expressed frustration over how he was declared wanted by authorities without first being contacted or invited. He claimed that even while in police custody, officers told him they didn’t believe he was involved in the death.

“They declared me wanted without even inviting me first. Even while I was in the cell, police officers kept saying I had no hand in Mohbad’s death,” he said.

He concluded by saying that people wrongly blaming him for Mohbad’s death has deeply affected him, as he was simply trying to help a friend during a moment of tension.
