“3rd in Africa”- After losing finals, FIFA ranks Nigeria higher than AFCON Winner Ivory Coast

Following the just ended AFCON, Nigeria’s Super Eagles are now regarded as Africa’s third best team.

Nigeria is now rated 28th in the world according to the Federation of International Football (FIFA)’s new list, which was issued on February 15.

Morocco remains Africa’s greatest team, with Senegal second and Nigeria third.

Ivory Coast, which won the AFCON, was placed fifth in Africa, below Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria, and Egypt.

Nigeria’s ranking of 28th in the international football table represents a 14-place jump from 42nd prior to the AFCON.

According to the current FIFA rankings, Nigeria now has 1522.26 points, up from 1474.44 earlier. The top five teams in the overall rating are Argentina, France, England, Belgium, and Brazil.

Soar Super Eagles posted about the new rating, which elicited a lot of emotions.
