The award-winning singer shared a video and photos of himself and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, aboard a private jet as they prepared for his upcoming music tour. However, what caught fans’ attention was a brief tweet he made on Monday, July 7.
“Happy Metal,” Davido simply wrote a message that quickly gained traction and went viral.
The post coincided with what fans and supporters now regard as “Davido Day,” an informal celebration of the singer’s impact on the music scene. The date holds particular significance following an official recognition in 2023 by the Mayor of Houston, Texas, Sylvester Turner, who proclaimed July 7 as “Davido Day” in honor of the superstar’s remarkable achievements.
