- A Nigerian barrister has called out individuals who allegedly direct spiritual attacks at lawyers during court cases.
- He urged parties to leave legal representatives out of such matters and focus on resolving disputes through the judicial process.

A Nigerian lawyer has raised concerns over what he described as spiritual attacks allegedly targeted at legal practitioners handling court cases.
In a statement shared online, the unnamed barrister cautioned individuals involved in court disputes to focus on resolving their issues legally rather than dragging lawyers into spiritual matters. He stated that if a case is already before a court of law, parties should refrain from involving traditional or spiritual interventions against opposing counsel.
“If you have a problem with someone and the case is already in court, and you still want to report the matter to your juju, leave the opponent’s lawyer out of it. Stop attacking the lawyer spiritually, attack your opponent only,” he said.
The comment has sparked reactions on social media, with many users debating the intersection of traditional beliefs, spirituality, and the legal profession in Nigeria.
