Popular street rapper Portable Omolalomi faces criticism for comments he made about Shallipopi’s new album, which moves his Tony Montana song from the first to the tenth position.
This followed after Shallipopi released his second studio album, ‘Shakespopi,’ which includes nine music tracks.
Portable, whose song with British musician Skepta had been number one on the ‘Apple Music Top 100: Nigeria chart’ for weeks, has been surpassed by all nine tracks from Shallipopi’s album.
In response to the decline, the street rapper accused the junior colleague of farming streams, an inorganic method of raising position on music charts.
Portable accused Shallipopi of being a stream farmer, claiming that his song and career are more important than his fraudulent efforts.
“Oh boy, make you rest; man pass man o. Before you could remove my song, you had to drop an album. Your song does not have meaning, is that a song? Can’t you praise God? Can’t you sing good? I am the landlord and I am still going back to number one,” he said in part.
