- Senior pastor Mark Miracle of Prestige Gospel Centre has issued a warning to social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan.
- The warning follows VeryDarkMan’s recent staged death and mock burial, which occurred over the weekend.
- This act is part of an ongoing conflict with content creator King Mitchy, who previously faked her own death, reportedly involving the use of hypo.
The senior pastor of Prestige Gospel Centre, Mark Miracle, has publicly cautioned social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, over his recent staged death and mock burial.
The dramatic act reportedly took place over the weekend amid his ongoing clash with content creator King Mitchy, who had earlier stirred reactions online after faking her own death, allegedly involving the consumption of hypo.
Addressing his congregation during a Sunday service on March 1, Pastor Miracle described the stunt as spiritually dangerous. He warned that pretending to be buried was not something to treat lightly, stressing that such actions could attract serious consequences if ignored.
According to the cleric, by organising a mock burial, VeryDarkMan may have unknowingly tampered with his spiritual covering. He maintained that acts like that go beyond entertainment and amount to provoking spiritual forces linked to death.
He said:
“If you were conversant online yesterday, you saw what was happening, VeryDarkMan declared himself dead. This is a person whom despite the physical attack, God was still keeping the spirit safe. But what happened are two ways that he may not know and I would like to tell his followers that his spirit is automatically not alive again. You don’t joke with God. You put yourself in a coffin and they say, put him on the ground, they pour sand.
You are daring the spirits of death. You are daring God.”
The pastor also criticised the influence of smartphones and social media, arguing that the quest for online attention has led many young people to take extreme measures for views and engagement.
He urged VeryDarkMan’s supporters to stop applauding the stunt and instead advise him to seek spiritual cleansing and deliverance. Pastor Miracle warned that the real tragedy could occur quietly and without the same level of publicity.
He added:
“I said smartphones have made this generation too dull. Just because people will watch. This is a person we are telling God is saying be careful. If I were him or if I were the fans, I would stop praising him and tell him to go for a total cleansing and deliverance. Because the main death may not be as popular as this one. They may never hear about it when he goes.”
