Yoruba actor Yomi Gold has expressed gratitude to God after narrowly escaping a potentially life-threatening incident in the Nigerian movie industry.
On Tuesday, December 6, the actor shared a video from his hospital bed, describing how a sudden headache almost claimed his life. He credited his survival to God’s mercy and the quick response of the emergency team in Marrakech, Morocco.
Yomi reflected on the fragility of life and the speed at which things can change, thanking God for preserving him and for everyone who reached out during his ordeal. He assured fans that he is recovering.
“Life truly lives in the seconds. Today reminded me how fragile our breath is and how quickly everything can change. A sudden headache nearly took me out, but by God’s mercy and the swift help of the emergency team in Marrakech, I am here resting and recovering. I give thanks to God for preservation, for life, and for everyone He used to reach out, pray, and check on me. May we never take health, time, or one another for granted. Every moment is grace,” he wrote.
This near-death scare comes just days after the Yoruba film industry lost actress Allwell Ademola, who died following a heart attack at her home.
