Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has shifted gears following her recent clash with actor and producer Afeez Owo, husband of fellow actress Mide Martins.
The Yoruba film star admitted she had taken time to reflect on her earlier reaction and expressed readiness to let peace reign.
The drama began after Afeez Owo, in an interview, described Wumi as someone who only responds when provoked but has little tolerance for disrespect.
In response, Wumi fired back strongly, calling Afeez an older man who should avoid needless drama. She, however, emphasized that she still held respect for him despite his “unfortunate” actions.
Her remarks sparked criticism from fans, many of whom reminded her of the importance of showing respect to senior colleagues in the industry.
After facing backlash online, Wumi appeared to soften her position. She later posted a video of herself on a flight, accompanied by a caption that stirred further conversations among her followers.
She wrote:
“The face of a repentant child. It is still all love. Thank you all for the backlash. Omo ta ba fe lan bawi.”
