- A lady accused of breaching a promise after allegedly collecting ₦50,000 transport fare from a man, Emmanuel, has defended herself, saying he pressured her to travel from Asaba to Abuja.
- She questioned, “Where will ₦50,000 take me from Asaba to Abuja?” and added that she later offered a refund, eventually paying back ₦450,000, while also alleging threats and secret filming during court proceedings.

A lady has broken her silence after a viral video showed a man, Emmanuel, suing her for allegedly failing to show up after collecting transport fare.
She explained that Emmanuel was only an online acquaintance who pressured her to travel from Asaba to Abuja.
She said … “Before Emmanuel sent that money to me for transportation, I told him he should come over to my city. He said no, that he cannot visit a woman. Out of the blue, this guy just sent me N50,000, saying it was transport fare to come and see him. Where will N50,000 take me from Asaba to Abuja?”
“What if I had gone there and something happened to me? You people would still blame me. Women don’t insist on staying in one place, you people will still talk. What do you really want?” she asked.
She added that she later offered to refund the money but Emmanuel refused, and claimed she eventually paid back ₦450,000.
The lady also alleged threats from Emmanuel and his friends, and criticized those who secretly filmed her in court despite a ban on recordings.
