A Nigerian woman has shared a frustrating ordeal after her housemaid allegedly broke into her savings box and stole a large amount of money.
The incident was shared in a viral video on TikTok, where the woman expressed her disappointment and anger over the theft.
She explained that she had treated her house help well, paying her salary on time, giving extra cash, and feeding her freely. Despite this, she decided to let the maid go after realizing that she lacked basic cleaning skills.
According to the woman, after the maid left, she continued saving money in her box, only to discover later that it had been broken into and a large portion of her savings was missing.
In the video shared via her handle @anotherdaytogoharder, she captioned it: “You employed a maid from hell.”
She said: “THIS PEOPLE ARE GETTING BOLD!!!! I don’t even know how to feel!!!!!! To think someone I’ve been feeding and even giving money aside her salary can do this!!!!! She doesn’t know how to clean, I told her I’m letting her go. She went home, two days later I go to put money into this and I find this ‘kolo’ open. Yo!!!! She had the audacity to say she didn’t take it. I can’t even shout, I’m just pissed!!!!!!”
The woman also revealed that when she confronted the maid, the latter denied taking the money, leaving her “pissed” and shocked by the audacity.
The video shows the state of the savings box, with only a small amount of money left, suggesting that the majority had been taken.
