Wipe Crocodile Tears, Return The Money – Enugu Patriots to Sujimoto

  • Enugu Patriots have demanded that Sujimoto CEO, Olasijibomi Ogundele, return the N5.7 billion allegedly diverted from the state’s Smart Schools Project.
  • The group backed EFCC and the Enugu State Government’s recovery efforts, arguing that Sujimoto’s claim of spending N4 billion on 22 schools was false, as evidence showed less than N600 million worth of work was done.

Enugu Patriots have called on Sujimoto CEO, Olasijibomi Ogundele, to return the N5.7 billion allegedly misappropriated from the state’s Smart Schools Project.

The group backed EFCC and the Enugu State Government’s recovery efforts, dismissing Sujimoto’s claim of spending N4 billion on 22 schools, insisting evidence showed less than N600 million worth of work was done.

They also criticized his excuses of inflation and profit margin, noting other contractors had delivered their projects.

“The fact that education was over 30 per cent in the 2024 budget and 33 per cent in 2025 underscores the priority the Mbah Administration places on the sector. That is massive and has to do with the 260 Smart Green Schools.

“No one can blame the government for awarding the contract to Sujimoto, given its projects in Lagos. But having failed to show value for money here, we advise Ogundele to clean his crocodile tears and return the money to Ndi Enugu. Period,” the statement added.
