Why Kanye West Is Permanently Moving To Chicago

Popular American rapper, Kanye West is moving to Chicago permanently but that doesn’t mean he’s abandoning L.A.

The rapper made the announcement to a crowd of excited highschoolers, during an ‘Open Mike’ event hosted by fellow Chicagoan Chance the Rapper. He said;

“I gotta let y’all know that I’m moving back to Chicago and I’m never leaving again.”

It remains to be seen if his wife Kim Kardashian and their three children are going with him, or were even aware of the decision.

According to TMZ, Kanye does not intend selling any of their LA properties, but has already found a ‘second permanent residence’ in his original hometown.

Sources close to Kanye say he and Kim have already found a home in Chi-Town and that’s where we know he wants to establish his permanent residence, but they are keeping all of their properties in L.A.

In addition to the house they just built, they have multiple properties in L.A., including 300 acres that Kanye is developing, and that project is still a go.

We’re told Kanye will move his Yeezy offices from Calabasas to Chicago.

It’s a little confusing, but we’re told Kanye views it this way that he will have a home base in Chicago, but apparently he believes he can have more than one home base.

However the Chicago Tribune pointed out this isn’t the first promise he’s made that has yet to come to fruition.

He announced on Twitter earlier this month that he would be teaching a course at the School of the Art Institute; but the school told the publication he did not have — nor where there any plans to give him — a post there.

The most high-profile of his collapsing Chicago plans was Donda’s House, a charity named for his late mother which has since cut ties with him and changed its name.
