Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has sparked reactions online after lamenting over the kind of financial support she received from fans.
In a video shared on her social media page, the actress jokingly cried out to Nigerians while poking fun at her namesake, Blessing Okoro. She claimed she had reached “stage 20 of sapa,” a slang term used to describe extreme financial hardship, and appealed for assistance.
Shortly after, Nkechi revealed that instead of significant contributions, fans flooded her account with small amounts.
Expressing her surprise, she questioned the gesture, saying her supporters were sending as little as ₦100 and ₦20.
In a follow-up post, the actress urged fans to support her in other ways if they could not contribute financially.
“Abeg since una no fit contribute money for me, Subscribe to my YouTube channel Nkechi Blessing TV, watch my movies and anticipate OMOGE LEKKI dropping April 5th… so I no go come beg una for food ooo,” she wrote.
