A Nigerian lady, @nor_mad_ on X, has announced the end of her engagement to photographer fiancé, Eddie Ekwere, months after their proposal photos went viral.

In March, their pictures trended online with many admiring Eddie’s looks and their love story. But in a twist, @nor_mad_ revisited the same photos, captioning: “Well e don cast.”

Amid reactions, she later shared a video as a public service announcement to clarify the situation.

In it, she said, “So I brought out my phone and my mic to make a public service announcement. The public service announcement is that I am no longer engaged. I am no longer in a relationship. I’m not going to explain why. I just want to be over and done with the whole commenting and everything that has to do with my relationship. I’m now single. That’s literally the announcement I came to make.”
