Content creator Peller has shed light on his widely circulated clash with comedian Carter Efe, disclosing that the dramatic incident involving damage to their cars was deliberately staged.
He explained that the confrontation, which unfolded during a livestream in February, was not a real disagreement but a planned act intended to capture public attention and generate financial returns through sponsorships.
The episode happened shortly after Carter Efe was gifted a brand-new 2025 Toyota Corolla by billionaire businessman E-Money in celebration of his birthday.
In the course of the livestream, Peller was seen climbing onto the vehicle, leaving dents on its roof. Carter Efe responded by smashing Peller’s windscreen with a stone, which led Peller to retaliate by also damaging the windscreen of the newly gifted car.
The intense moment quickly went viral across social media, sparking criticism from many Nigerians who condemned the destruction of cars seen as valuable assets.
Peller has now clarified that there was no genuine dispute between them. Speaking during a recent livestream chat with a friend, he stated that the entire scene was orchestrated as content, aimed at turning online attention into profit.
“That one na for stream. In real life, me and Carter Efe cannot destroy each other’s cars. We use money find money. Na so life be. As we break glass, dem give us brand new car. Na so life be.”
His revelation seems to confirm earlier doubts that the clash was not genuine, particularly after E-Money stepped in by presenting Peller with a new car and handing Carter Efe €5,000 to cover repairs on his damaged vehicle.
