President Bola Tinubu recently reunited with a long-lost acquaintance from his time in Chicago a man named Alex, who he described as both a former neighbour and schoolmate.
Speaking during the unveiling of 2,000 tractors and various agricultural machinery under the Federal Government’s Agricultural Mechanization Programme in Abuja, Tinubu expressed surprise at Alex’s transformation into a thriving businessman.
He added that Alex, who hails from Belarus, was someone he never imagined would rise to such heights of success.
“To all of you, Alex was my very good neighbour and went to the same school with me in Chicago.
“Never did we dream that I would be in this position as President of Nigeria and Alex, a successful businessman from Belarus.
“I sincerely commend the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for their proactive efforts in addressing the food crisis and maintaining stability with our food system.
